No acting for ‘perfectionist’ Bold Actor Aamir Khan in 2010.
Bollywood star Aamir Khan is known to strive for perfection. He now plans to take a break from acting this year as he wants to concentrate on his role as the producer of “Delhi Belly”, “Peepli Live” and “Dhobi Ghat”.
“I want to take a break from acting this year. So no shootings for me. I would like to concentrate more as a producer,” Aamir said at a press conference in Big Cinemas here late Friday.
“I will be reading scripts as an actor but I am not sure whether I would be saying yes to acting. I would like to market my films internationally as I personally feel that our films have potential in the international market,” he pointed out.
This year, Aamir will be seen in home production “Dhobi Ghat”, which has been directed by Aamir Khan Wife Kiran Rao.
With his ‘one year one movie’ plan, Aamir has managed to deliver superhits one after another and says he has been lucky in terms of directors and scripts.
“I try to pick up films that I love or which move me emotionally. I have been lucky in the last 10 years to be successful. It’s because I have been lucky enough to work with directors who are very good,” Aamir maintained.

“Idiots," which opened December 25, is still running strong after collecting a record $51 million (2.4 billion rupees) from both domestic and international markets within its first 10 days of release.
The film also won Best Screenplay for Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra; Best Choreographer, Bosco Ceaser; best dialogue, Abhijat Joshi; Best Newcomer Male, Omi Vaidya; Best Actor in a Comic Role – Male, Omi Vaidya; Best Actor in a Negative Role, Boman Irani; and Popular Choice Award for Best Actor – Female, HotKareena Kapoor.
Oscar winner A R Rahman (“Slumdog Millionaire”) won best music for “Dilhi 6,” while most promising debut director went to HotNandita Das for “Firaaq."
Hot Hrithik Roshan, Bollywood Handsome Hunk Happy Birthday in all flavors!
Today, that is the 10th of January is the birthday of bollywoods handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan. This is one actor who has the ability to pull of any role with utmost conviction. After a shot with teenage problems he graduated to more mature roles like Dhoom 2 where his portrayal of a negative character was very much in sync with the plot of the film and which in no way hampered his image in the public eye, perhaps his image of a good guy is already well established with his ardent fans, so such negative roles only add to his dimension of acting abilities.
Thus, to prove his caliber, this actor is on the verge of showing to his fans the variety that he can put in to his characters in his forth coming flicks like Bollywood Upcoming Movies 2010Kites, Guzaarish and most probably Krishh part three. There are reports here and there that this actor is very much involved with his character in Guzaarish and is putting in hours of hard work to make it a perfect depiction of the character as the director has envisioned it.

Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots has set a new box office record for Bollywood films in the United States.
Within two weeks of its release, it has grossed $4.8 million, according to two major box office tracking websites, Hollywood.com and Deadline Hollywood.
No other Bollywood film has ever crossed the $4 million barrier before.
The film collected $2.15 million in its opening week and ranked at number 12 at the box office among all films showing that week. It is playing in 119 theatres.
“It is the perfect masala mix that is working for the film,” said film criticAseem Chhabra. The relatively infrequent releases of Aamir Khan films, the reputation of directorRaj Kumar Hirani, the buzz on Facebook, and the opportunity the film offered to people of Indian origin to relive their college days in India, were among the other factors likely to have influenced the film’s success.
How long 3 Idiots retains the record, however, remains to be seen. Bollywood Upcoming Movie 2010My name is Khan, being released by Fox Searchlight Pictures on February 12, is likely to prove a tough competitor.
