Asin was getting ready for the shoot when there was a leakage in gas line and the vanity van suddenly became stuffy and gloomy. However, things were soon under control. Asin and others have recovered fully and are already backing on the sets and have started shooting but she suddenly felt ill, turn to be rushed to the hospital.

Asin has completed her work for the Karaikudi schedule and gone back to Mumbai.

Says director Siddique: “We would have completed nearly 30 percent of the film, when the first schedule ends on April 30. It is shaping out very well. Vijay is an extraordinary artist and his performance is going to be amazing in the film.”

(1) Multilingual Bollywood Hottest Actress Asin Thottumkal has been voted Youth Icon of Kerala in a public in a poll conducted by the Asianet TV channel.

A seven-year-old fan of Asin presented her the award since she idolizes Asin. It was a touching gesture and overwhelmed Asin.

(2) The Tamil Movie remake of bodyguard will begin in April who has Vijay and Asin playing the lead roles, will be directed by Siddique. In fact the director was responsible for making Bodyguard a hit in Malayalam.

(3) Hot Asin came to Bollywood with a bang with Ghajini and later everything was brought to dust when London Dreams flopped.

She was being touted as the next big Sridevi who could take over Bollywood. But as the Vipul Shah film flopped badly, she doesn’t have takers. And mind you the film was riding on the shoulders of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Asin who had by that time started showing a lot of tantrums and attitude at commercial shoots as well as when it came to taking script narrations has been pulled back by a few yards now.

Asin is wondering what her next step should be. Should she wait for some more better offers to come her way or should she pack her bags up and go back home. With no Bollywood offers, Asin moves south

After her film ‘London Dreams’ failed to click at the box office, Asin Thottumkal is left without work in the Hindi film industry.

“I have no films as of now. All that I can reveal is that future projects are under production and I can’t talk about them until the producers give me a go- ahead,” Asin divulged.

Though Hot Asin Thottumkal assured us that her fans would see more of her in movies this year, we hear from sources that with no Bollywood offers on hand, Asin is now looking at South Indian film possibilities. Buzz is that Asin has agreed to do a Malayalam film for a renowned director. She is also reportedly in talks with some other filmmakers from South India.

In between there were rumours that Asin was supposed to pair up with Abhishek Bachchan for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’. However, the actress rejected the project finding the script not too appealing. We wonder if being so strictly choosy will prove a boon or bane for this talented actress.
