Ajith is Gautham’s next Stylish Cop

Both Ajith and Gautham are coming together for their future project which is yet to be titled. Reportedly this would be Ajith’s 50^th film under ace director Gautham direction.

After Suriya and Kamal Hasan its Ajith this time to star as police in the movie. According to the insiders director has narrated a short description about the movie to Ajith in which Ajith plays a stylish cop. Both director and hero have well of experience doing police characters and roles and Gautham’s earlier flicks about cop was super hit.

The film to be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri. Reportedly Ajit had turn down the offer offered for the movie Kakka Kakka, which was later offered to Surya and movie was block buster in the box office.

A grand celebration marked the inauguration of Ajith’s next film 'Asal'. Expectations of the film, which have already been high, because of the Ajith-Saran-Baradwaj combination, have increased manifold after Superstar Rajinikanth declared that he could see the movie’s success gauging the grandeur during the movie’s launch itself. “I will definitely wish the team again when they release the film and meet with success,” said the superstar.

“I worked with Sivaji Films after I did 'Baba' which did not run well. But 'Chandramukhi' became a huge hit. Likewise Ajith also needs a hit in his career now. And I think he has chosen to the right people to give him that,” said the actor, who showed up with his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Director Saran called this an ‘Asal’ Ajith film, which is like no other earlier film of his. Ajith called this an important film in his career as an actor. “I’m grateful to Sivaji Films for giving me a film like this,” he said.

Director K Balachandar, the mentor of Saran, started shooting for ‘Asal’, and wished the team all success. Others present at the launch of Ajith’s ‘Asal’ at Annai Illam were P Vasu, producers AVM Saravanan, Muralidharan, directors Vijay,  Vishnuvardhan, Raja, Vairamuthu, Yuhi Sethu, actors Suriya, Karthi and Shakthi. The heroines for the film are still being finalized and will be announced in a week, informed the director.

Prabhu and Ramkumar welcomed the guests and assured fans that ‘Asal’ would be a big hit and a film that they will enjoy seeing their hero in. Shooting for ‘Asal’ will begin in the first week of May in the city.

Vishnu reveals new plans with Ajith

With the release date of Sarvam approaching closer, Vishnuvardhan convened a press meet at his home this evening for announcing his future plans and projects. He declared that a project with Ajith on the cards and that ground work for the same is being done. “Discussions in this regard are over and an announcement will be out anytime soon,” he said.

Also in the offing is another ambitious project, the cinematic adaptation of a great author’s work. “The project would take two-years to complete,” he stated hinting that either one of the ventures will go on floors soon.

On Sarvam, he revealed that a Rottweiler has been used in the movie. “The canine was trained by an expert trainer who also trained the elephants and horses for Jodha Akhbar,” he further added. The Arya – Trisha starrer Sarvam is likely to hit the screens by the end of March.

Ajith’s 50th movie to be Directed by Venkat Prabhu

It’s official that Ultimate Stars Ajith Kumar’s 50th film would be directed by kollywood hot and happening Director Venkat Prabhu. The film is said to be an action comedy, with all elements that his Ajith fans wil love.

Ajith himself told an English daily that Venkat Prabhu has been chosen to direct his 50th film and he is quoted as saying- “Venkat Prabhu has already told me a one-line thread, and I liked it a lot. He will be finalizing the script and the producer will soon be decided.”

The Ultimate Star’s golden jubilee film will start rolling only by middle of next year after Venkat Prabh completes his pending project Goa and Ajith completes his 49th film with Gautham Vasudeva Menon titled Surangani.
