Achchamundu Achchamundu Movie Review

Its indeed time we dealt with such issues in our Tamil Cinema. Cinema is a medium that reaches out to masses and Achchamundu Achchamundu deals with the story of a Pedophile(person sexually attracted to children) and how he causes fear in the heart of parents with young children. Debutant NRI director Arun Vaidyanathan’s effort should be appluded.

Senthil(Prasanna) is a NRI settled in New Jersey and has a sucessful IT job. Malini (Sneha) his wife is a typical south Indian wife who devotes her time to her husband and her kid six year old Rithika (Akshaya). When a painter (John Shea) enters their neighbour hood, this happy family is unaware of the consequences and the fear this man will bring.

Kudos to Prasanna, Sneha and John Shea for doing a remarkable job in their respective roles. The ‘Statistics Report on Child Abuse ‘ in the climax is a commendable effort on the part of the director Arun Vaidyanathan. Good job by Chris Freilich’s camera shot on Red One.

On the whole Achchamundu Achchamundu is a good piece of cinema by the whole crew.
